While visiting my local art supply shop Cass Art, one of the employees GingerDan asked me if I would be participating in Inktober, which prompted me to ask ‘What is Inktober?’

I did a quick Google search and found the Inktober website. I looked over the rules and searched for some artwork from previous years on Instagram, I decided to give it a bash.

I had a full month with the list of prompts because I registered to the mailing list, so I started to plan a few of the pieces.

Then October hit…

The first couple of day went smoothly, then I started to feel the pressure. I was only able to commit two hours in the evenings for that days prompt. So was also cramming a few in during the weekends to give myself a break in the evenings.

I do feel that this was a difficult challenge but I am proud that I was able to do this, and believe I will attempt it again in the future.
